A star for someone who is gone
On an anniversary, a birthday, Día de los Muertos or an ordinary Tuesday, the words you never got to say still need somewhere to go. Write them and they become a star: just for you, for someone in your family, or in the shared sky, next to other people who are remembering too.
Write a few words to themFree · no account · you decide who sees itHow it works
- Write as if they could hear you. It does not have to be beautiful. “I miss you”, “I remember how you laughed”, “I thought of you today”. One sentence is enough.
- Choose where it shines. “Only you”; “For one person”, with a private link for your mother or your brother; or “Everyone in the shared sky”, in the constellation “For those no longer near”.
- Come back whenever you need. Save a card with the words, or write yourself a letter that opens on their next anniversary.
If you do not know where to begin
- I miss…
- I remember how you…
- Today I am thinking of you…
- I never told you that…
- Thank you for…
- This year something happened you would have loved…
What it can sound like
Dad, I fixed the gate myself this year. It took three tries and I could hear you laughing the whole time. I still reach for the phone on Sundays. I miss you every day, and today a little more.An example — not a real star
With care
Human Sky is free, with no likes or followers, and money never buys a place in the sky. A star is not an astronomical object: it is a place for your words. If you choose the shared sky, a person from Human Sky reads it first; leave out surnames, addresses and places. If grief feels too heavy, here is where to find help.
Questions
Who can see my words?
You decide: only you, one person with a private link, or everyone in the shared sky after a person from Human Sky has read it.
Is it free?
Yes. Writing and keeping a star is free, and you do not need an account.
Can I send it to my family?
Yes. Choose “For one person” and share the link in any messenger. Anyone with the link can open it, so send it only to the people you mean.
Is this a memorial site?
No. There are no profiles, no donations and nothing to buy. It is simply a place for the words you want to say.
What if my grief is very hard right now?
Writing can help, but it does not replace people. The help page lists support lines by country.
