Important words become stars.
Human Sky is not a feed or a ranking. It is a place to say what can be hard to say in time — to one person, to yourself, or to the shared sky.
Where a star can go
A star in time
New letters to yourself are encrypted in the browser before they are sent. Human Sky receives an encrypted capsule; the decryption key is derived from My Sky Key and is not sent together with the letter.
In the normal Human Sky experience, the star stays closed until the chosen day. You can keep a personal .hsky copy of the capsule. Opening it requires My Sky Key.
The personal copy belongs to you, so it can technically be opened locally at any time. Inside Human Sky, the star remains closed until the chosen day.
Privacy is part of the path
Human moderation
The shared sky is for personal human words: love, gratitude, memory, regret, hope, support and difficult feelings. It is not an advertising board, a political podium or a spam feed. Sadness, pain or anger alone are not reasons for rejection.
My Sky Key
The key proves control of your personal sky and helps restore access to your stars. Keep it as an important personal key. Human Sky support never asks you to send the key itself or your recovery code.
An open personal capsule format
The .hsky format is documented in plain text and does not depend on a closed application. hsky-1 capsules can be opened with a standalone local opener that makes no network requests.
Capsules created before hsky-1 continue to open under their original protection scheme. New capsules use on-device encryption.
